In 2014, Cure Cancer directed $2.5M of vital seed funding to 28 promising young researchers working across all areas of cancer.

Our 2013 Researchers

In 2013, Cure Cancer directed a record $3.2M of vital seed funding to 38 promising emerging researchers working across all types of cancer.

29 brilliant young researchers were awarded new research grants in 2013 and nine others received continued funding from 2012. This $3.2 million investment in the fight against cancer was directly generated by the generosity and support of Cure Cancer Australia donors,  Can Too Foundation, fundraisers and corporate partners.

Our 2012 Researchers

In 2012, Cure Cancer Australia directed $3M of vital seed funding to 30 promising young researchers.

Of these 30 promising researchers, nine continued into their second year of funding in 2013. 

Our 2011 Researchers

In 2011, Cure Cancer Australia directed $1.8M of vital seed funding to 21 promising young researchers. Thanks to your support, these heroic people may just hold the key to the Cure for Cancer.

Our 2010 Researchers

In 2010, Cure Cancer Australia targeted $1.4M towards the fight against cancer with 16 young researchers being awarded a one year funding grant of $90,000.

Of these grants, five are funded fully by Cure Cancer Australia and 11 are co-funded together with Cancer Australia via the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS).

Our 2009 Researchers

Cure Cancer Australia is proud to announce that $900,000 of community-raised funds was directed towards cancer research in 2009. These funds were awarded to 12 promising, young Australian scientists who each received one-year grants of $75,000. This vital seed funding ensures our innovative researchers can further their foray into ground-breaking cancer research in the hope that a cure for cancer is discovered.
