Google and Red Bull Join Forces to Host a BARBECURE
This month, teams from two of the world’s most iconic brands came together to host a BARBECURE.
A sunny Friday afternoon played host to the inaugural GooBull BARBECURE at Pyrmont’s Metcalfe Park, which saw teams from two stand out global brands - Google and Red Bull – come together to host a BARBECURE and raise money for Cure Cancer Australia.
Staff from both companies got stuck in to the Red Bull Google Naymar Soccer Challenge, with five teams from each company fighting it out in a series of five-minute futsal matches to see which brand would reign victorious!
Players and spectators alike were treated to a tasty sausage sizzle on the BARBECURE and given the opportunity to enter into a luxury raffle, with prizes including a Google Pixel phone, Google Home Mini and a barbecue kindly donated by BARBECURE sponsor Barbeques Galore up for grabs. All proceeds from the raffle and BARBECURE were generously donated to Cure Cancer Australia.
The Naymar Soccer Challenge proved to be a close tournament with lots of great moments from either side, but in the end, the guys at Google came out on top. Nevertheless, the GooBull BARBECURE was a huge success all round, with Red Bull promising to come back next year and steal the futsal crown!
In total, an astonishing $30,000 was raised as a result of the event. A huge thank you to everyone involved. We are so incredibly grateful.
