The organisation is now over 52 years old and we’re proud that many of the rising stars funded are now at the forefront of medical research internationally.



 Cure Cancer is seeking an experienced New Business Development manager, with a proven track record in new business sales, acquisition and a corporate relations network.

 The main focus in this role is maximising revenue by generating leads, targeting prospects, maintaining relationships with well recognised brands and organisations, and managing the sales process from identifying new business opportunities through to closing deals.

 You will be supported by the fundraising team, who will provide ongoing relationship management for any secured fundraising activities and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Building a national portfolio of clients whilst maintaining existing business and stakeholder relationships

  • Identifying new business opportunities through market research and ongoing partnerships

  • Developing strong relationships with new clients

  • Presenting to clients on a wide range of products best suited to their needs

  • Maintaining high standards of customer service at all times

  • Meeting KPIs


Skills & Experience

  •  Demonstrated experience in closing deals, pipeline management and prospect management

  • Lead, participate and manage tender processes and work closely with the Fundraising team for new business opportunities

  • Contacts within the Australian Corporate and SME sector vital

  • Previous experience with CRM databases (Salesforce) required

  • Confident ability to present to internal and external stakeholders, as well as decision-makers

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in MS Office

  • Strong team player with impressive time management skills and the ability to work autonomously

  • A proven track record in developing new business opportunities and being responsible for a team in achieving sales targets within the employee benefits sector

  • Strong product knowledge of the Employee benefits market and products in a B2B environment


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 7 years of sales experience and business development

  • Demonstrated experience in navigating C-level relationships in the corporate sector

  • Ability to plan, pitch and execute a territory sales strategy

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills

  • Effective written/verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel inter-state as and when needed
