There are plenty of deserving causes out there, this one is one of my personal favourites. Not only looking for cures for cancers, all of them, but helping new career scientists establish careers.

Thank you so much for donating. It was worth the exhaustion!

Monday 18th Mar

So grateful, local school is allowing me the use of the pool. One mile every hour on the hour, starting 0700 Good Friday. Hoping people will come and swim and support - donate the pool entry you would have paid elsewhere, or whatever you can.
It's not going to be easy. In some ways, i think stopping and starting will be harder than just swimming 24 miles straight. Never done anything like this before. Hmmmm......

Swim 1 mile an hour for 24 hours?

Wednesday 6th Mar

So. Most of you know I do some really long swims....so, I thought I'd give this a shot and I'd love your support and encouragement...and the best way to do that? Donate to Cure Cancer, of course! Hey, I'd even do a 1.6km set you write for me if you donate enough! Be nice, I want a warm up and a cool down too!

Challenge - swim one mile every hour for 24 hours.

Date - 29th and 30th March

Sunday 3rd Mar

Slow start....forgot it was March, and slept in thinking it was February 30th.

Made up for that with 6 k pool swim on Saturday.

Then....just 2 k in the stinger nets this morning.

Yes...I know I do swim long distances sometimes....but of late, doing lots of km's each week has fallen by the wayside. I'm not as fit as I've been in the past! This is a challenge....getting back up to the 25km a week mark is my goal for the month, and after less than half for that for ages....it really is a challenge!

Thanks for supporting Cure Cancer. This cause ticks plenty boxes for me. I mean, F$#k cancer.....but also, it funds research by new career scientists - these guys are our future. Win Win!!
