I am swimming for a CURE
This March, I am making a splash for cancer research on my R&R. Cure Cancer’s Swim for a CURE is a swimming fundraiser where every stroke counts in the mission to help fund vital cancer research. Just $75 funds one hour of life-saving cancer research.
This is a cause I hold dearly close to my heart and many others would too. Some of you may know, but for those who don’t, I lost my father to cancer in 2024. Our family, and Dad’s friends, were all deeply affected by his loss. The access Dad had to treatment teams here in Queensland, Australia, was invaluable. The access we had, paired with Dad’s strength, bought us the most precious thing in life: more time. This is something I hope everyone affected by cancer, has the chance to have when facing such a difficult time.

Day One - 14th of March
Saturday 14th Mar Today was my 1st time in the pool with the intention of clocking up laps for a cure. The daily goal I set today was 3km and 3km was clocked. I certainly struggled for some time but once I was over 2km, it was easier. A struggle due to my lack of fitness is really nothing in comparison to the struggle of those battling cancer, a humbling thought. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
