Our brave fundraisers

Charles Weston School

The wonderful students and teachers at Charles Weston School Coombs raised nearly $4,000 from their Crazy Hair Day!

With everyone sporting fun, wacky, colourful hairdos, the school community also rallied behind Year 6 student, Amelia, and teacher, Helen, who shaved off their hair to support life-saving cancer research.

Thanks Team Charles Weston!

Natalie

“Shaving my hair has been floating around in my mind for a few years now and when I turned 40 last year, I decided it was the year that I would try and complete some new challenges and this was right up the top of the list!”

Oliver

Oliver chopped off his hair in memory of his friend, Uncle Dan, who passed from cancer.

“He would always joke whenever we saw each other with a cheeky grin... 'So when are you shaving your hair?' I guess I felt that if I could raise both awareness and money towards finding a cure and preventing others from losing special people in their lives, then there's no time like the present."
