half way there and it may just be this massive heat wave in Melbourne, but I'm feeling it in my body!

Funds are way past 50% but no need to rest on my laurels!  I'm doing this to get as much funding for cancer research as possible, so gimme, gimme, gimme!

Sunday 10th Mar
Got a lovely note and a gift from Cure Cancer today telling me I’m in the top 10 fundraisers from Swim For a Cure so far!! It’s no reason to rest though, these laps aren’t swimming themselves!!

Friday 1st Mar
It’s finally March!

Time to kick it into top gear and switch from training to seriously swimming for  cancer research.  

I managed my 1500m this morning and I’ll have to repeat that 3.3 days a week for the next 4 weeks to reach my goal.

I’ve pledged to swim 20kms in a month and it’s gonna be a lot of work, but it’s for a great cause.

Saturday 10th Feb
Not sure how to explain what a big deal this is but today I swam 1500m.

Usually I do 1km once or twice a week, but if I can increase it to 1500m every swim and hit the pool 3.3 times a week on average, then I should be able to hit my goal of 20,000m in March.

Ok I’m signed up.  Time to get training I guess!

I chose cure cancer because cancer has taken so many beloved friends and family who I was so close with.

It’s a bastard of a thing and anything I can do to help is a good thing
