In Memory of Sheryl Harrington

By Karen Barletta on behalf of Engineers Australia, Colleagues and Friends.

Our dear friend and colleague, Sheryl Harrington, recently lost her battle with cancer.  Sheryl was the respected and treasured General Manager of the Learned Society in Engineers Australia, her name is synonymous with the Learned Society, and within our Office Bearer and Volunteer Community.

Sheryl was generous and underneath her tough persona, she was kind and caring.  Her laughter, sense of humour, unapologetic direct manner and infinite knowledge will be dearly missed.

So many people have reached out to share their thoughts, recollections and stories, and to ask how they can honour Sheryl's memory.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, Sheryl would have loved for people to donate to a special cause and support the research for a cancer cure.

Thank you for your donations

Sheryl contributed to all of us at Engineers Australia professionally and with sympathy. This donation is typical of her practical caring and service.

My heartfelt thoughts are with Sheryl Harrington’s family during this difficult time. Deeply saddened by the news! Sheryl was exceptional—always smiling and willing to listen, offering support to her colleagues. She will be greatly missed. Hooman
