About Justine

“I'm delighted to come on board as an ambassador for Cure Cancer and The Buddy Box. As a mum of four, I know that childhood cancer is every parent’s worst nightmare. Three children die every week from cancer here in Australia, and the only way we can change that is by supporting lifesaving cancer research.

The Buddy Box is a wonderful initiative that has a double benefit - it helps to put a smile on the faces of young cancer patients undergoing grueling treatment and all profits raised are invested directly back into pioneering cancer research by early-career researchers. I know I’m not alone in hoping that we can all one day live in a world where cancer no longer poses a threat, and by supporting initiatives like The Buddy Box, we are edging closer and closer to that reality.”

Justine Cullen is one of Australia's leading magazine editors, with over 25 years’ experience in publishing. After a career as a beauty editor and fashion writer, Justine became editor of SHOP Til You Drop in 2008, soon taking the magazine to its highest readership and circulation figures and winning both Magazine of the Year and Editor of the Year during her time there. In 2012 she went on to launch ELLE magazine back into the Australian market. Under Justine’s direction, ELLE became known for its publishing innovation, championing of women, diversity of talent, and brave and globally celebrated cover executions, such as the world’s first ever cover of a woman breastfeeding, twice winning Cover of the Year.

Justine now holds the role of Head of Content, Fashion and Prestige, at Medium Rare Content Agency, where she leads the content creation for David Jones, among other clients, and is editor-in-chief of Jones magazine.

She lives in Palm Beach with her husband Hayden and four sons.
